They are offered in good faith as educational material and are not a diagnosis of your chimney, which nobody can honestly provide without looking at it. Cost ranges are regional context, not quotes. Do not make burn-or-not safety decisions from a website, ours included: when in doubt, do not light it, and get the flue looked at.
